There's a quote of Bill Gates roaming all over the Internet I don't know whether Bill Gates said it or not.
But it goes something like this -I'll always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job, because, he'll find an easy way to do it.

I also saw some people posting in science groups whether there's any scientific evidence or study that proves lazy people are the smartest or smartest people tend to be lazy.

Let's get to the explanation
According to a study in 2015 published in the Journal of Health psychology.
Says people who are less physically active tend to be brainer than physically active people.
Researchers even developed a detail for laziness they call it " need for cognition.
People who have this quality crave structured and reasoned ways of looking at the world, and they often pursue activities that provide severe cognitive stimulation, such as brainstorming puzzles or debating.
For the study, researchers used a survey to analyze the "need for cognition." The 60 subjects were split into two groups ("thinkers" and "non-thinkers") based on their survey results.

All participants then wore activity trackers for seven days, providing the researchers with insight into their habits.
The data displayed that those with a high IQ get bored less easily, leading them to be less active and spend more time engaged in thought.
The highly active group got easily bored when having to sit still and observe their conceptual thoughts.

Instead, they chose to stimulate their minds with active tasks, like sports and other physical activities.
Are lazy people smarter and more successful? That certainly doesn't add up.
But part of the problem might have to do with how we view laziness itself; the things we associate with laziness maybe not be so indicative of laziness at all.
It's the way one thinks certainly lazy people have more time to think than being active people.
they do less but with more precision and structured way. That's what makes look like lazy people are smarter.
